What's the difference between a lawyer and a journalist? In Patricia Carswell’s case, just a few years. She started her career as a commercial barrister, but after 10 years she’d had her fill of stiff collars, pink ribbon and black suits and moved to deepest Wales to write for a living.
Married to author and screenwriter M.R. Hall, Patricia has two teenage sons and an unruly terrier. After a lifetime of sloth, she has finally embraced sport with unreserved enthusiasm, and can often be found messing about on the river or punishing herself in the gym.
